Enhance Your Spirits with Our Pecan Hickory Barrel

This barrel is made from Pecan Hickory, a North American hardwood in the hickory family.

The idea started through our work with a local distillery and a simple question: what would happen if we made a barrel from hickory instead of the usual white oak? We decided to find out.

Pecan Hickory is not a traditional cooperage wood, which is exactly what makes this barrel interesting. We expect it to bring warm, nutty notes and a little smokiness to the spirit, giving you something noticeably different from a traditional oak barrel.

This is still experimental territory for us, and you're part of that experiment. If the barrel doesn't perform as it should, we'll replace it with one of our standard oak barrels. We'd also genuinely like to hear what you age in it and how it turns out.
