The 5 gallon white oak barrel was just filled. I’ll let you know in a few years how it turns out. Bought a chestnut 1.8 gallon a few months ago. I think I like it better than the white oak barrel. The flavor is much more subtle and sweet. The quality and lead time is great. I will be buying more as I need them.
Purchased 2 5 gal barrels with a Medium Toast and #3 Char to use for bourbon and brandy. The quality of these barrels are unmatched. With the stainless surround it is a very well made barrels. Highly recommend and will be purchasing more.
