Got my barrel in, the packaging was incredible. I appreciate the care that was taken in making sure it arrived at my door in the same state it was in when it left. I opened it up, and filled it with warm water as instructed for a day before filling with spirit. There were no leaks and everything looked good so I filled my barrel and have been dying in anticipation...how do people leave good juice sitting in a barrel for so long? The smells from the oak were incredible, not having stuck my nose in toasted and charred oak before, I immediately where a lot of the amazing flavors in bourbons and whiskeys come from. Just from the scent alone I could imagine the taste of what I might have in due time. I absolutely cannot wait to see the results. I'm very glad I invested in such a well made, high quality product, as well as support a veteran-owned small business.
Excellent advice before hand which covered all my questions and concerns. Quality high, as expected. Shipped protected and sealed to prevent drying of butt end. Directions were straight forward and essential.
I'll complete the review in 3 years when I can legally call the contents scotch!

4 barrels acquired over the years. Started with maturing rum, and now there are 2 barrels, soon to be 3 with UJSSM resting peacefully in my home. I had one leak really bad, because I am stupid or lazy, and forgot about it for a year or so, but nothing that a week of soaking didn't fix. I love this product!
I bought 2 barrels about 2 years ago and finally got around to filling the second one about a month ago. After a few days I noticed there was a leak, actually there was a split in the stainless barrel. I emailed and was just hoping the customer service was as good as I hoped and it was. They replied to my email on a Sunday and had a new barrel on the way to me in a few days. The new barrel is as beautiful as the old one and as a plus I have used some of the wood from the bad barrel to oak a few projects while building up my stock. I can’t remember that kind of customer service at any place I deal with.
