Barrel Preservation Mix

When dissolved in 8L (2 gal) of water, this potassium metabisulfite and citric acid mix releases sulfurous gases that prevent bacteria and mold growth in barrels during long-term storage.

Instructions:

1. In a well-ventilated area, avoiding inhaling the powder, cut open the packet and empty it into your barrel.
2. Fill the barrel with water and seal for storage, effective for up to 6 months.

Before Use: When ready to use the barrel, empty the solution and rinse thoroughly by filling and draining with plain water three times or more.
